Terms of Use

These apps are built to work without an account and without a network. Almost everything you do in them stays on your phone. This page says exactly what is kept, what leaves the device, and what you can do about it.

What stays on your device

The following are stored in the app's own local storage and are not sent anywhere unless you sign in and turn on backup:

Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Android's own backup may include this data if you have device backup switched on; recordings and sign-in tokens are excluded from that backup, though recordings do move during a direct phone-to-phone transfer.

The microphone

The apps use the microphone for two separate things, and they behave differently:

FeatureWhat happens to the audio
Counting a prayer aloud, and the pronunciation coach Audio is passed to Android's own speech recognition service. The app does not record it, store it or upload it. On many Android devices that system service processes speech on Google's servers rather than on the phone, under Google's privacy policy. Whether it stays on the device depends on your phone and on whether you have an offline language pack installed — it is not something the app controls. If this matters to you, use the Tap counting mode instead, which never opens the microphone.
Recording your own prayer track The recording is saved as a file on your phone and stays there. It is not uploaded.

If you sign in

Sign-in is not switched on in the current version. The account screen says so when you open it, and there is no way to create an account or to send anything to us. What follows describes what will happen once it is enabled; this page will be updated before that version is released.

Signing in will stay optional, and the apps remain fully usable without it. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a user id, and your practice history and saved verses are stored in our Supabase database so they can be restored on another device. You can sign out at any time; ask us to delete the stored copy using the address below and it will be removed.

Scripture

The verses shown in the app are downloaded from our Supabase database. That request carries no personal information — it does not identify you, and we do not log which verses you read.

Advertising

The current version shows no adverts. There is no advertising library in the app at all: no advertising identifier is read, no request is made to any ad network, and nothing about your practice reaches one.

If advertising is introduced later, this page will be updated before that version is released and will name who serves the adverts and what they collect. Two things are settled now and will not change: no advert will appear while you are counting a prayer, reading a verse or writing a reflection, and no advert will ever be selected using what you practise, save or write.

Purchases

There is nothing to buy in the current version. Every feature is available to everyone and no payment is taken.

If subscriptions are switched on later, they will be processed by Google Play and we will never see or store your payment details. Purchase status would be managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user id — not your name, your email, or anything you have written.

What we do not do

Children

These apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account and everything stored against it at any time, and you do not need to contact us to do it.

From inside the app: open Settings → Account and choose Delete account and data. This removes your practice sessions, milestones and profile from our database, signs you out, and clears the history held on the device. It cannot be undone.

Without the app installed: email androidappstore94@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, asking for deletion. We will delete the data and confirm within 30 days.

Deleted practice data is removed outright rather than archived. Nothing is retained afterwards except what the law requires us to keep, which for these apps is nothing. If you have never signed in, there is nothing to delete: your practice has only ever existed on your own phone, and uninstalling removes it.

Your choices

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the new version appears here before it takes effect in the app.
